general personality;; Blake is the type of girl that is all about appearance. She wants to look nice anytime she steps outside, and even when she's alone, she still sets a standard for herself to look at least decent. But, when it comes to hair and makeup, don't even get her started. Her hair is practically her life, and she knows all there is to know about taking care of it and styling it. Makeup is much the same, only with it, she likes the fact that she can be a little creative with it at times.
Blake is a typically bubbly girl. She loves to laugh and is almost always flashing those pearly white teeth of hers. She just can't help herself. She finds so much joy in the world. Little things that most people don't notice. She likes to think of herself as outgoing, though she's secretly terribly insecure about herself because of past relationships. She hides it well, however, and no one has seemed to be able to tell so far.
She is also easy to make jealous. This is also due to her past relationships. She can't stand it when a girl talks to the man she's with. It's okay if she is friends with the girl herself, but otherwise, it is most definitely not okay. At all. Once she gets jealous, she doesn't bother hiding it. She'll keep her arms crossed, keep answers short and one-worded, and not really look at you. It's her tell, and most people know it.
But, she's also a bit on the athletic side. She loves to dance to anything, though she likes to say, "Keep it classy, not trashy." Which she sticks to herself. Because of her athleticism, she usually has a lot of energy, and that has caused her to live by the motto: Why put off for later what you can get done now?
fears;; Silence, snakes, and caring about someone too much.
goals;; Graduate high school, graduate college with a degree in Marine Biology, move to France.
quirks;; Blake has a tendency to go against the norm. when it comes to certain social interactions. For instance, a guy that most girls are easily swayed by won't phase her at all. Instead, she'll usually roll her eyes at him and move away before she says something she shouldn't. She also isn't the type of girl to really answer questions too well. She avoids them slyly, and people usually don't even notice. While they're answering all of her questions directly, she's making her way in circles around theirs. When it was all said and done, Blake knows much more about you than you do about her. Don't be surprised if you catch her with a Snickers everywhere she goes. It's almost as if she's addicted to them.
secret;; My ex boyfriend left me two weeks ago, and my cousin is a month pregnant with his baby.
family and friends;; (Mother): Juliet Wolf (Cousin): Samantha Brooks (Ex-Boyfriend): Brad Ken
history;; Blake would be considered a "bastard" child. Her mother had her at the young age of 17, and didn't know who the father was for the life of her, because at the time, Juliet only wanted one thing. To party. After Blake's birth, that all changed. She became entirely dedicated to raising her daughter properly and without assistance from anyone. She got a job at a local fashion magazine a few blocks away from their apartment and climbed the ladder to become a fashion designer in New York, where Juliet had lived all her life. By this time, Blake was ten years old.
Juliet didn't spoil her daughter, no. But she did buy her fancy things. Blake grew up to be a respectful girl because despite her mother's party-animal nature, she'd always been respectful in her youth. So, it was no surprise that with no father around, Blake would grow up just like her mother, except a bit better.
Juliet never thought about getting married. She just wasn't a commitment type of woman. Blake was different. She loved the feel of a new relationship, but hated the pain they always brought along. One of her first relationships happened in ninth grade and lasted an entire year. She dated others for about two months before they either cheated or left her. It got to a point to where Blake just didn't care anymore. Until her last relationship that grew during the middle of her senior year in high school until about two weeks ago when he left her for her cousin, Samantha.
After finding out that Samantha was a month pregnant with Brad's baby, she begged her mother to move since Samantha lived in the apartment right under them with Juliet's sister. Juliet agreed, knowing how close Blake and Samantha had been. Almost like sisters. Now, at age fifteen, Samantha was having a baby.
Juliet and Blake moved to Havanna just in time for Blake to start her Sophomore year at Havanna High School.
pets;; Vadar - Japanese Bobtail Cat - Male - 6 Months
This was the third time this week Blake had ended up at the dance studio. She'd really had the motivation to get back into her dancing like she use to be. Her dedication this time seemed to be for one reason only, however. To stay fit. For the past two weeks, she'd been wallowing in the heartache of her long-time boyfriend leaving her for her cousin. Now, she was tired of wallowing and had been dancing it off to anything. While the first two dance sessions had been to sweet, sad songs, today's had been to rock music. Something more up-beat and her style. Now, she was paying the price for over-doing it. As she packed her regular clothes into her duffel bag, she wished she'd just gone to the school's gymnasium. Or stayed at her dorm to do this. She desperately wanted a shower and a quite bite to eat.
When her phone went off, she chose to ignore it and zipped her bag. She then grabbed her car keys and cell phone and left the building. The noon sun hung high in the cloudless sky. The blue hue seemed brighter today. However, it wasn't hot. Instead, it was cool enough that the sun felt nice and warm on her pale skin. She moved to her car, a silver Toyota Corolla that her mom had managed to save up for the year before Blake turned 16. While she should be considered a spoiled child, she wasn't. She was grateful for everything she had. Always had been. Her car still ran and looked like it was just bought off the lot. She took care of her things because she knew she was lucky to have gotten them in the first place.
The drive back to the campus wasn't long. A mere 20 - 30 minutes, and that was that. Luckily for her, her dorm was on the first floor. 008, though she was sure that since her dorm was made for double-ups, she'd be sharing it soon. It didn't bother her too much, however. Instead, it excited her. Who knows? The person who becomes her roommate just might get the title of best friend. It would be like a sleepover every day of college!
Blake chuckled at herself before stepping inside her dorm and locking the door behind her. Most of the students were still waiting for their classes to let out so the afternoon classes could begin. Blake didn't have a class until the evening classes rolled around. Grabbing some clothes from her dresser, she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower water, waiting impatiently for it to heat up.
Once she felt clean enough, she stepped out, wrapped her towel around her body and used another towel to wrap around her hair and made her way over to her vanity. The vanity had been a gift from her mother. She'd grown up with it in her room her entire life, and she'd remembered hiding everything in it. Including pot before she quit smoking. However, now her drawers were filled with makeup and hair products. She tended to take a good hour on her hair and makeup and then just throwing on her clothes, but since she was ready to eat something, she put liquid eyeliner on her top lip, topped it off with mascara, and simply brushed her hair out. It's natural curl meant that she didn't need to style it as much as the next person, but sometimes she liked to dye it black or auburn, and that would damage it a bit. Other times, her hair just wanted to be unruly.
She quickly went back into the bathroom, throwing her clothes on and grabbing her keys and cell phone once again. She tapped the screen to unlock it and saw the familiar number pop across her screen. His name was no longer there, and Blake immediately felt her heart break.
Hey. Can we talk?
Blake sneered at the message. "Don't do it, Blake." She said to herself quietly before closing the door behind her and walking towards the front door of the dorm building. Her heels clicked on the floor as she walked with quick steps. Once she walked outside, all of the students began to flock around the campus. Classes were letting out now, and other were beginning. Blake sighed with relief, glad that she didn't have class for another few hours.
She went to the on campus coffee place and ordered her usual hazel nut coffee, adding her own sugar and chocolate creamer before. She paid the cashier and then took a seat, wrapping her hands around the warm coffee. It burned her tongue and throat, but felt nice as it hit her stomach. Her phone sat directly below on the table, though she didn't look at it. Anyone who knew her - or knew of her - had heard about her breakup. They'd also known how much she'd cared for Gregory. A few of her good friends had met him and had thought he was a great guy. Everyone thought that. Then one day, he was calling Blake, telling her that he'd found someone else, and that it was her cousin. Don't forget that she's also pregnant with his baby... Blake thought. She bit at her lip and took another sip of coffee before the tears could form in her blue eyes.
